Steuart Martens is an ultra endurance athlete and a life-long swimmer who has always enjoyed enduring sports and pushing his body and mind to the limit in competition. Martens competed in Olympic trials for the 2000 Sydney Games when he was still a high school student at Walt Whitman.

Martens produced an impressive display in the Alcatraz open water swim in 2009, he was the first swimmer to reach the San Francisco shoreline that day, setting the record of 25:06.8 in the 1.25-mile Alcatraz 100. Martens enters open water swims all over the world, regularly competes in triathlons and long distance foot races, and trains with a group of Washington, D.C. based athletes, including District Mayor Adrian Fenty.

Now this year , Martens is completely prepared to race in the 10 mile endurance competition this coming Friday, Rocket Science Sports, which has maintained a long relationship with Steuart Martens is, once again, honored to offer the latest 2013 RSS AQUA SENSE wetsuit to help this swimmer to create his dream come true. “I’m trying to break a world record next week during this 10 miles swim in Canada and I realized the water is colder than expected, so I need the perfect wetsuit. Rocket Science Sports is the first one to my mind when I think about that.” Martens says. “I’m a little too intense for some people,” Martens admits, explaining that he trains twice a day and takes in about 3,000 calories daily. “There’s no dress rehearsal for life. If you’re going to do it, do it hard.”

Josh Amberger Finishes 2nd in Berlin 5150

Sponsored athlete and friend, Josh Amberger, finished 2nd today at the Berlin 5150 race. Flanked by two Olympians on the podium, Josh had previously been leading the race all the way up until the 6.5km point of the run where Filip Ospaly overtook him. Christian Prochnow was the other Olympian.

China National Swim Team Heads To Olympics WIth Rocket Science Swimsuits

AUSTIN, TX – July 4, 2012 – The China National Swim Team officially inked a sponsorship contract earlier this week that sees the whole team receiving Rocket Science Sports’ new championship swimsuits: the FINA approved FU2 Racers for use at the London 2012 Olympics. Josh Amberger in the Spotlight

Winning triathlete, and one of Rocket Science Sports' very own, Josh Amberger is hitting the spotlight now, halfway through the year.

Recent interviews with First Time Ironman and Trizone touch on Josh's life, passion, and focus. Having won Ironman 70.3 Singapore (left) earlier this year, and placing a close 2nd in the 5150 Triathlon in Klagenfurt, Austria, he has gain much exposure.

He believes this year will be his year to win the upcoming Hy-Vee Triathlon, where he placed 24th last year. His current position of 7th in the 5150 Pro Rankings would undoubtedly improve if he wins yet another race.
